Love 'phzy' Smidebrant has been recalled by Wildcard. This was not according to our plan but due to circumstances outside of 9INE’s control. Our hope was to continue playing with phzy, especially given the strong results we've had recently and the stability he's brought to the team.
Wildcard recalled phzy in early August and since then we've been in dialogue trying to find a solution that works for all parties. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find such a solution.
phzy will be travelling back to the US on the 4th of September. Until we've found our long term replacement, we'll use stand-ins for the upcoming LAN events.
A huge thank you to phzy for his short but sweet time with us, we wish him the best of luck going forward!
We’re happy to announce the return of a familiar face. Love ‘phzy’ Smidebrant is joining 9INE as a new sniper for the upcoming season.
phzy previously played under the 9INE banner back in 2019-2020, and now, after more than five years, he’s back and ready to take on the challenge once again. His return marks the final piece of our roster heading into the new competitive season.
The 23-year old Swedish AWPer joins us on loan from Wildcard Gaming. We’d like to thank the Wildcard team for their cooperation and professionalism in ensuring a smooth and fast loan process.
With phzy’s experience and firepower added to the team, we’re confident in our lineup’s potential to make a serious impact on the scene.
Earlier in July Jan ‘cej0t’ Dyl joined our team. This marks a reunion after more than a year with coach Danny “BERRY” Krüger, under whom he reached his peak form. With the addition of cej0t and phzy, the full 9INE Pusulabet lineup looks as follows:
Rasmus ‘raalz’ Steensborg
Josef ‘faveN’ Baumann
Tobias ‘kraghen’ Kragh Jensen
Jan ‘cej0t’ Dyl
Love ‘phzy’ Smidebrant
Let’s get to work. Welcome back, phzy!
9INE isn’t here to follow whatever playbook esports has been using for the past decade. We’re building something that actually works. A competitive team, yes, but just as much a community where people feel like they’re part of something real. Of course we want to win. But we also care about how we do it. Smart decisions, content that’s actually worth watching and clothing you don’t have to pretend to like. 9INE NATION isn’t a slogan, it’s a group of people who’ve decided they want to be part of something that feels a little less fake. If you’re after polished statements and empty promises, there’s plenty of that elsewhere. We’ll be busy doing it our way.
We’re here to raise the bar and actually move things forward – not just talk about it. Bold ideas are great, but we’re more interested in making them real.
We’re here to win and grow our community. But not just in any way, we want to grow 9INE NATION into a community that actually means something. One that sticks around not just for the trophies, but for the way we entertain, create and show up.
